A fiber separator is a key waste paper processing device in the pulp and paper industry. It utilizes the density difference between waste paper pulp and impurities to remove light and heavy impurities from waste paper raw materials through centrifugal force, while also performing decomposition and screening functions.
The core working principle of the fiber separator is based on centrifugal force separation. During operation, a motor drives an impeller to rotate at high speed, causing the slurry within the tank to rotate intensely. During this process:
Heavy impurities (sand, nails, broken glass, small stones, etc.) are thrown against the tank wall by centrifugal force, sinking to the bottom and periodically discharged through the heavy impurities discharge port.
Light impurities (plastic films, foam, cotton yarn, etc.) accumulate in the central area of the tank and are discharged through the light impurities discharge port.
Accept pulp (separated fiber slurry) is filtered through a screen and discharged from the good slurry outlet to proceed to the next process.
Through this principle, the fiber separator can classify and remove impurities while simultaneously breaking down the fibers, preventing further breakdown and refinement of impurities in subsequent processes, thus reducing the load on subsequent screening equipment.
